- Avoid tobacco: Studies have linked tobacco use to gynaecologic cancer, so quitting smoking can help you lower your risk.
- Diet and exercise: Your diet should be rich in fruit and vegetables. Eat high fat foods sparingly. In addition, try to get 30 minutes of exercise every day.
- Early Detection:
Most women with cervical precancerous lesions report no symptoms, so it is important to get regular screenings before symptoms are present.
- PAP Smear, three yearly after age of 21 year
- HPV testing, three yearly after age of 30 years
- Colposcopy
It is a type of minimally invasive cervical cancer test. Colposcopy is a way of looking at the cervix through a special magnifying device called a colposcope. A colposcope can greatly enlarge the normal view. This exam allows to find problems that cannot be seen by the eye alone. It’s a quick and easy way to find cell changes in your cervix that may turn into cancer.
